A journey of bliss

The philosophy of life is this: Life is not a struggle, not a tension... Life is bliss. It is eternal wisdom, eternal existence.

~ Maharishi Mahesh Yogi

For the longest time, I held the belief that life was an ongoing struggle, an unceasing battle to attain more, to be better, to have more. I deemed suffering as an inevitable part of existence, one that was indispensable to achieving success. However, my perspective shifted over time, and my heart came to know the truth through the continued practice of yoga and mindfulness. Life is not a struggle or a tension. It is not a relentless race towards an unattainable goal, nor a constant battle against the world and ourselves. Rather, it is a blissful journey of eternal wisdom and existence that transcends limits; a voyage filled with joy and wonder, where each moment is a gift to be treasured.

Life is a beautiful and intricate tapestry woven with a myriad of experiences, emotions, and moments. Some are painted with bright hues of laughter and light, while others are woven with threads of tears and sorrow. Yet, beneath it all lies a profound sense of peace and joy that pervades every aspect of our existence. Though this bliss may not be immediately apparent, it has always been present, waiting for us to uncover it. This state of being is not dependent on external circumstances, but rather, it is a sustained feeling of joy and happiness that we can nurture by opening ourselves to the wonder and beauty of the world that surrounds us.

When we are fully present and immersed in the moment, we open ourselves up to the simple yet profound pleasures of life: the comforting warmth of a cup of tea, the breathtaking beauty of a sunset, or the infectious laughter of a loved one. These seemingly small moments have the power to fill us with immense joy and remind us of the inherent beauty of existence. Gratitude also plays a vital role in experiencing true bliss in life. When we pause to acknowledge and appreciate the blessings in our lives, we become acutely aware of just how much we have to be thankful for - from the very air we breathe to the precious people we hold dear. Ultimately, living a blissful life is about finding balance and harmony in all aspects of our lives. It is about letting go of negativity and embracing positivity. It is about living authentically, being true to ourselves, and finding joy in the journey.

The philosophy of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi has become a beacon of light, illuminating the beauty and wonder of my existence. It beckons me to live each day with intention and purpose, to flourish and thrive in every sense of the word. With each passing day, may we take a moment to relish the present and revel in the abundance of blessings that surround us. By living with mindfulness and intentionality, we can unveil the boundless joy and bliss that await us on this beautiful journey called life.

Namaste.
